My grades are pretty good right now (98-101 aveages) except in math. I have a 91 average. I know that isn’t awful, but here’s the problem: I know everything really well. I know I should be able to have a perfect grade in the class. The teacher is great, and she knows the class moves too slowly for me so she gives me difficult proofs to work on. I can finish those easily. I do perfectly the homework, but class work and tests are extremely difficult. I have a lot of trouble focusing. It’s the same way in most subjects, but in math there are more oppurtunities to make small mistakes on dumb stuff.
These little mistakes kill me, and my teacher is frequently telling me that I need to slow down. It doesn’t help. I have similar problems in English, and I can’t read in class because I can’t focus on it.
Outside of class, I still have trouble focusing, but I manage it.
How can I improve my focus in class? It is really fruatrating to look at a block of text and being too distracted to start reading it…
