By elite schools, I mean Ivy Leagues, Duke, U-Chicago, Stanford, etc. I had a 3.9 UW cumulative at the end of the first semester of junior year, I did horribly the following semester and it bumped my UW GPA to a 3.75 just in time for college applications(my midyear report is completed after the college application deadline) Do I still have a chance at getting into schools like Yale? I’m a URM, but is there really a chance?
Sure. 3.75 is a fine unweighted GPA. The downside to your 3.75 is that it took a dive from a 3.9. It’s still not a bad GPA at all and is definitely worth applying to top colleges with!
Yes, You will have chance to get admitted in elite colleges. Make sure you will have good test scores (SAT1, SAT 2, TOEFL), ECAs, recommendations etc. Best of luck.
Can you check out the link mentioned above and tell me if that looks good @maiju15
