Can you guys guess my chances for Choate, Loomis and etc?

Hi guys! I am applying for sophomore year to the test optional schools as I can’t submit test scores.

Here’s my resume:

Grades: A+ in many’s, GPA: 3.91, gonna upgrade this year

Sports: Chess and Badminton both for 8 years, won interschool prizes, school prizes and other prizes in both of them.

Academic: Have won Various Essays yet math competitions prizes, interschool as well as in school.

ECA: Published one research article in International Peer reviewed journal.

5 Research papers accepted for publication in peer reviewed Journals, all reputed.

2 research papers accepted for presentation in conferences, one at my nation’s top 1 university which I will present soon and one at London, both are well reputed conferences.

Have authored over 9 research papers till now and 2 are accepted for peer review in journals. Research experience: 2 years. I have also helped beginners to start research activities from my school, and international as well.

I have peer reviewed up to 7 research papers, commentary, review articles for various journals till now.

Clubs: Was the head treasurer of my school’s various clubs for 3 years.

As for Essays I tend to bring good essays reflecting on character and others specs. My rec letters should be good as well, cause I believe I have good relation with my counsellor, math teacher, and my English teacher.

But, as per cons, I require full financial aid as my family income is less than $5800 yearly, I am also an international student, and at the same time I can’t submit my SSAT nor ISEE scores.

Thank You!

Solid effort at identifying your strengths and your challenges (need full financial aid & test optional).

Your strength appears to be in generating research papers which get published. Seems unusual to me for such a young student to be so prolific and successful in this area. Congratulations.

I cannot even guess at your chances for receiving an offer of admission with full financial aid. My best guess is that much will depend upon an evaluation of your published research papers. Did you do the research & writing yourself or as part of a team ?

Those research papers were written independently by me without any funding, or any type of external support.

You are a very accomplished applicant. I hope that you get accepted to your top choice school.

Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate it :+1:

You look like a really impressive student. Candidly, not having test scores as “calibration” is unfortunate. Likewise, being international and needing a lot of FA is going to be a challenge at many schools. And lastly, while schools will appreciate your ECs, few will recruit for them. Combined, that’s a strong headwind. With that said, throw your hat in the ring because a headwind doesn’t have to mean no. It’s possible that in the pool of applicants, there won’t be anyone quite like you and that you’ll be just what an AO needs to round out the class.

Make sure you do interviews and engage in every way you can. You’re going to want your AO advocating for you!
