Okay so I want to take AP US history but it says I need successful completion of Civics. I am taking civics first semester and AP US is year long so I would have finished civics months before the end of APUSH.
Can I do this?

Ask the administration at your school. Some schools allow it, some don’t, and we have no way of knowing which group your school falls into. :p

Generally no. That’s why they’re called prerequisities - if you could take both classes at the same time then it would be called a corequisites.

But you can always ask your schools for an exception. AP Biology at my school has chemistry as a prerequisite, but I talked to the teacher and she really likes me so she made an exception if I promise to take it as a corequisite.

Oh okay. My school lists alg 2 as a prereq for honors chem, but most take it at the same time so I’ll just ask

All the classes at my school called prerequisite can always be taken at the same time
