Can you transfer into an AP class?

I’m currently a junior enrolled in English 3 Honors. I genuinely believe that this class will not provide the rigor I am capable of enduring. So, ideally, I would like to transfer to AP Lang and Comp. From what I have seen, several students from the class have dropped it and have been relegated to Honors. Thus, I had the thought that, hey, I could potentially fill one of those openings!

So, I ask, is it possible to transfer into an AP class, such as AP Lang and Comp? The only issue I can see is the slight disparity in summer projects.

Thanks!

It depends on your school’s policies. Mine has a one week policy for you to change whatever class you’re not happy with. Others don’t let you change after the 1st day. It just depends, find that out somehow or else it’ll be too late, it might be too late already.

Hm, alright. The AP teacher this year was my English teacher last year. I guess I’ll have to discuss it with her.

The epiphany occurred when we were given a practice ACT. I missed four, albeit very silly mistakes, while others missed close to twenty. I just get the sense that I will not be working to my full potential.

Why are you taking standardized tests in an English Class?

Preparation, apparently.

I’d rather do that than what I’m doing now, but still that shouldn’t happen.

Wish I had ACT preparation in english class… lmao

^Dude Hell Yeah, we had to talk about Mid-19th Century American Poets for the entire class.

Hm, I guess my school is an oddity…

I’m in the same situation as you. Currently in Honors English 3, but I want to move into AP Lang and Comp

Well then, I say we both give it a shot. ;)
