Car Washes

Hey guys! I’m planning to have a car wash this weekend. How much should each car be washed for? (Our goal is to raise $400). The car wash is from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The car wash is located on a very busy road.
Any information would help! Thank you! :)

*Hi futureiceskater! lol

you know what i would say… =)

$5. and that’s it.

but it would help too if your town was a CITY.

Eh, 5-10.

Yeah it will help tons if your town was a city.

You should do it on busy roads, near camps, supermarkets, malls, amusment parks. That kind of stuff.

we don’t charge, we say “donations are appreciated” and we end up around $200 after the same amount of time but not a very busy road.

$7.99 is more like it

7.99? Are you kidding? I wouldn’t pay more than 4 or 5 dollars for a car wash (depending on the size of the car). I think about $3 dollars is right for cars and $4/5 for trucks, vans, and SUVs. But then also have huge tip bucket out as well.

We always have “free-will donation” as the price.

With that the…
average is around $10
people rarely give under $5
quite a few people will give you $20

That’s what we did and we only got $50 and washed about 10 cars lol. We did it on a Friday afternoon so not many people were out. It would’ve been better around 5 - 6 PM on Friday, or on Saturday.

we say donations with a minimum of $5 if you dont you’ll get a few people giving two dollars…or people that pay you less if the car isnt washed good enough

not really. one guy in our club said we didn’t wash his car well and didn’t donate. stupid guy… it’s to SUPPORT the club… not to judge our car washing skills.

i’ve never encountered someone i did not know who gave less tahn $5. i think it depends on your location. i’m from a suburb with upper middle class families.
