Carnegie Mellon Summer Academy for Math and Science (SAMS) and AP/EA 2018

I’m starting to lose hope about getting accepted into SAMS :frowning:

@briancui123 I submitted all my material (transcript, supp. and activities resume) on January 10th.

@archio I would do so as it is necessary to verify your scores.

@astromae2001 You download your unofficial score report from your College Board account.

@macwow Congrats!!!

@GlitterStar100 You still have a few more weeks. It’s not over yet! This one super-qualified girl I know got into SAMS at the last second and has gotten into so many amazing schools.

@ak2018 shoot well i just uploaded it
lol my application is all over the place

For those freaking out about uploading scores, don’t worry. I never knew about it until now so I never uploaded them but stil got accepted. Also, congrats @macwow !

I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if CMU lets you know via email if you’ve been rejected or waitlisted?

I’ve called and the lady was really nice (application was still under review) but I really hate the idea of continuing to call them. I looked on last year’s thread and people were still finding out they were accepted well into April.

@chunkylegs Yes, as far as I’ve been told, you get an email either way

thanks :slight_smile:

Hi everyone got accepted and am so excited!
I can post more stats if anyone wants

@bbq5ue Congrats!

Thanks!

@bbq5ue

Did they email you today? I didn’t know the office was open on Saturdays

I got my SAT scores yesterday and the scores are so much better than the one I uploaded, but the essay scores are not up yet. Do you think I can upload them or should I just use the old SAT scores because I didn’t have this score when I was applying?

I looked on the directory

@1Tiger21

@curiousa3 it would probably be good to upload them but I’m not sure if u can I’d email them to ask. I know that on the application u had to fill out what ur test scores were then confirm them through screen shots in the supporting documents and I emailed them asking that if the supporting documents are more recent but do not match the submitted application if it would still be ok to upload them and they said yes.

hey guys, i was wondering if there’s any way of knowing which program you got into if your name is on the directory? it just says pre-college summer program, and i’m not sure if that is definitely the SAMS program?

@bbq5ue SAMS or is AI?

@galaxym not sure I have the same problem @278hl has so I guess I’ll just have to wait for an email

@bbq5ue which one did you put as your first choice?
