@politicsguy07 The admissions officers from both SAMS and AP/EA are different people, so it could be that they liked your app so much, they accepted you on the spot. It’s very possible, but I don’t believe it’s common. I can give you the usernames of two AP/EA alums from last year who can give you some better advice than I.

Submitted my stuff last second, primarily for AI and then AP/EA. I’m asian, not in a geographically rural or urban area, but I live in RI. ACT of 35 and SAT 1520. Few state awards but not much. Chance me?
Honestly, I had a PSAT of 1300 and a 4.0GPA and didn’t even write an essay for the prompt but instead wrote an essay for a prompt that was sort of similar to it and for a different summer Program, so I think you’ll be fine. However I did apply to AP/EA. Also, I was no where near low income, but I am Hispanic
@politicsguy07 did you get a full ride to AP/EA?
@politicsguy07 I also submitted my application the day of (March 15) and got my response the next day with a full ride. I emailed them and they said that outside of the initial $100, everything is paid for. I also thought it was weird. Still, we should talk more and with @Elki2401 if we all three decide to go. I’d be great to sort of getting to know other AP/EA students who got in through the Diversity and Inclusion program.

My D19 updated her app with her March 10th SAT results on March 24th. We just got a response indicating that that we’d get a decision in a few days. Now I wish she’d indicated interest in AP/EA too. We just didn’t think there was a likelihood of financial support.
Arghhh…this is so stressful. I’m really happy for everyone who got into both programs, but I can’t stop thinking about whether I got accepted or not and the lack of knowing is really stressing me out…anyone feel?
I would be more stressed out but April I have a ton of stuff to do. Between College visits and AP prep, I can’t afford to stress around
oh my gosh same. I’m really, really happy for everyone who’s getting in but also feel my heart break a little everytime. I can’t stop checking this thread & I keep daydreaming about going to SAMS.

I was told when I called last week that I’d know by Friday whether I got in. Well, it’s past that obviously and I still haven’t gotten word.
I kind of expect to be rejected because of how selective it is and my low SAT score (1160, only taken once) and although that is disappointing it’s okay… I just wish I could know, for sure, whether I was accepted/rejected. Then I could at least move on and stop worrying lol. I applied mid January and SAMS has been on my mind literally every day since.

I was told decisions would come by 2 weeks ago, and nothing yet. I guess it means they aren’t itching to accept me which kind of sucks, because I submitted relatively early.
I emailed the Admission Office to update them on an award I received and within their response, they stated that “Results are returned normally around two weeks after your application is completed. We are going to be getting the last round of decisions out by next week.”
Hopefully this is accurate and more results will come out soon.
Did anyone applied for anything else besides this where they don´t have any rolling admission like MITES, Questbridge College Prep Scholars, etc
Because now I am relying on those two to do something over the summer
I hopefully would get into SAMS but I have no patience anymore
