@1TigerJ894 Yeah, I have called periodically within the last month or so and every time, they say they will have a decision out within a couple days. Sighhh hopefully they send them out soon
Does having a sibling who attends Carnegie Mellon give applicants an edge? I noticed there was a checkbox for that and wondering if that affects acceptance. Also, at this point is there any hope to get into SAMS/AI, it seems like most acceptances have been made and they’re just waiting to send out denied emails

@peachActuary73 Your daughter may still be able to be considered for AP/EA. You can have her email them saying that she would like her application to be considered for AP/EA. I would say that it’s worth a try.
@malfoy7 @MyGPAIsAnL @kly2019 @astromae2001 I can relate while waiting for some college decisions. Honestly, applying to several summer programs really prepared me for the real deal.

@smileamile3142 Yeah, they actually do take into account if you are a friend or relative of a SAMS alum or CMU student/alum.

I submitted my application the day it was due and uploaded my materials on the 9th of March and still have not received an email. Nor is my name in the student directory. My intuition tells me that I might get a response tomorrow, but who knows . . .
Ugh I am hoping to hear something soon, submitted app in Jan and all supplements by last week of Feb. Called yesterday and still no decision made. I am really anxious and just need some update from them, its so suspenseful to wait… [-O<
@redisys I know how you feel; I submitted my app and supplements at the same time you did and haven’t heard anything either. Hopefully we’re both still in consideration and can make it into the program!

it’s a really hard program to get into so don’t stress it. has little bearing on college decisions next year
Well I called this morning and they said they’re gonna release more decisions next week?

I got into SAMS! I just checked the directory 6 min ago.

Same! I checked on the directory 2 mins ago and I saw my name. Im so excited :))))
