Also, although it’s not SAMS, as of ten minutes, I have been accepted to the National Youth Science Camp! A summer program for seniors. Only two people are selected from each state and I’m super excited to be one of them. A friend of mine from SAMS is going, so I definitely can’t wait!
I just checked out AI4All’s website (sponsoring CMU’s AI program). Some of the summer programs it hosts, such as BU, request that only young high school girls apply. Will that impact me in any way? I’m male btw
Hey so I called and was told there hasn’t been a decision made on my app. Would it be worth it to add an updated resume, I’ve been working on a lot of new things these last couple of months.
Hey! I submitted my application mid-February and still haven’t heard back. My first choice was the Artificial Intelligence Program. I also applied through the diversity and inclusion track because I was previously unaware that there a was paying track. I am an Asian girl from an upper-middle-class family. Do you think I still have a chance??
I just thought of the possibility that the people in the AI program won’t be in the directory? Since it is mainly an AI4All thing that’s running the program and CMU hosting it?
Do the Computer Science and STEM SAMS programs overlap or are there separate admissions for the two? I’ve been reading that there’re a lot of people accepted into SAMS but I remember choosing CS or STEM in the application and was confused.
