What university did you accept admission to already?
Can someone call them and ask if they are still accepting people off the PWL for Dietrich? I tried and they told me nothing and just avoided the question.
Did anyone call them about MCS admissions. Do they have still spots left in MCS?
That is really sketchy, I think someone probably have to be really straightforward and tell them that we have the right to know if there is no more spots in Dietrich to get them to answer.

I am actually more sympathetic to the admissions people.
They told us they would email us when the schools are filled… Imagine somebody calling/emailing you every minute with “How many slots are left for school ABC?”
It’s a terrible version of “Are we there yet?” when driving. And the more that people bother the admissions people about it, the less time they spend on sending out acceptances… 
My advice is just chill, enjoy the school that you have already accepted, and if things change worry about it then… otherwise you are going to have a very long month!

sure. however, i do think i am at an advantage because my sister goes to CMU. honestly, i was quite surprised that i got in because my grades/ecs/essays are quite mediocre.
first-gen asian female pursuing cs. i go to a competitive high school in new york and we don’t do ranking.
gpa: 93 (unweighted on 100 scale)
sat: 1550 (superscored)
sat 2s: math 2 - 800, chem - 750, bio - 730
ecs: nothing too spectacular. a few leadership positions. i only have one CS related EC, which is teaching CS to elementary and middle school students.

Sorry if it sounded like that, I don’t support calling the office either. I only called them once to figure out how the pwl dates differed from normal wl. But from this thread I’m just getting a lot of confusion on how they are answering those who asked. I just think that since it was asked, they shouldn’t just wave over the problem and the confusion that some of us have about current situation.

@poweroctopus congratsss!!! Did they email you as well about the acceptance? What was the call about? Do you know anything else about the waitlist for design(like if there are still more spots left or how many ppl they’ve accepted already)? I’m on the priority wl for design as well, and the fact that it ends tmr is making me quite worried

@stn123 The call was an admissions officer asking if I was interested in being admitted off the waitlist. I said yes, and he said that he would send an email shortly after. The email says to review my financial aid letter and if I want to attend, I must reply back to the email within 24 hours and submit my deposit in the next 72. Unfortunately, I don’t know how many spots are left - he didn’t specify and I didn’t think to ask. I will be rooting&praying for you - good luck!!
Friend just got off for civil engineering. He got little financial aid.
