Yes. Cindy believed that jesse had something to do with caylee’s disappearace cuz casey implicated jesse durig a jailhouse call. Cindy didn’t think jesse drowned her cuz she believed caylee was alive.

I’m a parent of a 22 year old. If I was a parent of a girl that age who had my only grandchild and who I thought (knew) to be a compulsive liar, tramp etc., I would not have bought off on any dodge to keep me from actually seeing my granddaughter and knowing (not just thinking strongly) that my granddaughter was alive and well.

31 days!!! Does that not bother others of you?

If she drugged Casey so she could party, even if she didn’t intend for her to die, that would still be aggravated child abuse and/or culpable negligence. If you do anything that could reasonably be expected to cause harm to a child, you are guilty. Recklessness, wantonness and gross carelessness, in essence, become intent.

Interesting.

She was found “not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

This does not mean that she was found not guilty “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

It means she was found not “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

(Hope that makes sense. Speaking it would be clearer.)

This is what I’m curious about.

Just a little over a week ago - Jose Baez didn’t think she was competent to stand trial.

"The 25 year-old in deep conversation with her attorney and others. A short time later, her lawyers asked the court to declare her incompetent.”

And she has also been through this horrific childhood of sexual and verbal abuse that ended with the accidental drowning of her daughter.

Shouldn’t she be seeing a team of phychiatrists and psychologists??

Nope - she looks happy as a clam.

Kleibo
Yes, THAT is the point! Great post.

The “31 days” thing does bother me. S2 is 12, almost 13. Yesterday I picked him up at the airport from a flight he took as an unaccompanied minor. The airline, for a hefty fee, supervises minors closely, making sure they are “delivered” to the right adult, requiring ID, etc. He was dropped off by relatives who remained at the gate until the plane took off (not left the gate, left the ground). He was the last person off the plane, because he came off accompanied by a flight attendant who made the delivery.

Long story, but as I waited, and saw all the passengers get off, and the pilots leave, there was a little bit of unease until I actually saw him coming. There have been stories about airlines “losing” children that crept into my mind, even though I knew there were no connections and no way that S2 could have been lost - and he is almost 13 with a cell phone. I can’t imagine going about my daily life for 10 minutes, let alone a month, not knowing where my child was.

If he didn’t already know she is crazy, I’m sure he was convinced by the drowning coverup story. That is unless, as I suspect, he came up with the story.

Let’s not forget this isn’t a case of not reporting a MISSING child. It is a case of not reporting a DEAD child. Even according to Casey’s defense, she knew the child was dead and not missing. This may be easy to forget because for months the nation thought of this case as a missing child because Casey SAID (lied) that the child was missing/kidnapped.

So, understandably, it is not like Casey was worried about where her child was those 31 days. Yes, her behavior is abhorrent during that time for someone whose child died accidentally (as claimed) or even intentionally.

I believe Casey Anthony is mentally ill. I don’t believe the sexual abuse claims and no evidence was presented to back up that claim. Perhaps she grew up in a dysfunctional family. But I find that all excuses, because as an adult, she was responsible for her own behavior. Many people grow up in dysfunctional families and that is not enough to explain or condone wrongful behaviors. I also don’t blame her parents as much as some others might. I think she has mental disorders and these are not all caused by her upbringing.

Good point, soozie! I’m really not up on this case. If Casey knew her child was dead all the time, then she wouldn’t have worried about where she was.

But if one of my children died, it would be a long time before I was able to function at any reasonable level. Parties? Possibly never again.

Clearly, there is something wrong with her because her behavior is completely outside the normal range.

I am a bit confused… did Casey KNOW her daughter was DEAD? Did her “story” admit that?
In Missing child situations, one does NOT know the child is dead.

I think that her story was that she knew from the start that the child was dead, by drowning. She admits to lying about this, but blames her father for hiding the body.

performer…yes her story is caylee drowned and it was covered up to make it look like a murder. all the stories about missing or kidnapping were part of the cover up…

Yeah- sick.
Needs help.

Actually, she was found “not guilty”.
As in, “We, the jury, find the defendant not guilty.”

http://www.cfnews13.com/static/articles/images/documents/Casey-Anthony-Verdict-Forms.pdf

The jury was instructed to make its finding based on the judge’s instructions.
[Jury Instructions Casey Anthony](http://www.scribd.com/doc/59297005/Jury-Instructions-Casey-Anthony)

These jury instructions include several paragraphs about “PLEA OF NOT GUILTY; REASONABLE DOUBT; AND BURDEN OF PROOF” (see page 16).

I think that Casey Anthony is a bad seed. I don’t think we’ll have heard the last of her. For all of her parents’ shortcomings, I did not feel that they were any worse than most, other than having to deal with this mess of a daughter.

I have a close friend from childhood who has one daughter who is just a disaster. It has aged the parents and saddened them greatly. Other kids in the family are all fine. It’s just her.

Abhorrent perhaps, but not rare or unheard of. Some people react… poorly.

It’s quite plausible that Caylee died accidentally and that Casey panicked and did something stupid without thinking. Then out of fear she could have done the next stupid thing and it escalated from there. Many people have dug themselves deeper and deeper for lack of knowing what else to do and not being able to overcome the fear of just fessing up.

What is unreasonable to us may have been perfectly reasonable to someone immature and fearful.

This is not something new.

So, she looks happy when facing a release from jail. Crazy people can look happy sometimes. Victims of childhood abuse can look happy sometimes. Parents who have lost children can look happy sometimes. With or without therapy, all of these can look happy sometimes.
