I’m not sure if everyone can relate to this post, but as a CBSE student, I screwed up my physics paper, and I just wanted to see if anyone found the paper hard as well

Don’t worry dude even I screwed up big time.

I am a junior, but the opinions of my seniors regarding the paper are the following.
Some of them found the questions ambiguous and the paper lengthy,but easy. So quite a few of them are expecting over 60 here on 70.
Some other people said that they din’t have time to finish the paper, and some numericals were not included in the syllabus, so they screwed it up.

Can someone post a tough numerical from the paper here?

I got the foreign paper, and for us there was literally not a single derivation, no transistor cyclotron van de graff blah blah, and not much numericals either. It was just full of conceptual crap, that people like me who started studying a week back couldn’t really answer.

Yup! One paper seemed predominantly ‘foreign’ when compared to the previous board papers, with almost no numericals or questions from the textbook,and huge answers for 2 marks.

I couldn’t help but smile when I read your comments, really, I pity you guys, CBSE doesn’t have a sense of consistency. I used to think that most of its questions are directly xeroxed from past papers. However, I think you guys can expect a lenient “checking” (grading) because the question papers were “foreign”.

My paper went well and in TIME.

@peepingtom
Maybe not.
The apparent difficulty of the paper was due to an element of surprise. I don’t think the board will ask the teachers to grade leniently.

IDK, Not sure, these boards confuse me. But I’ve heard that it happens (strict grading for easy paper and lenient grading for tough paper). But I’ve no idea in this case as I did not appear.

Physics was definitely lengthy. I expect around a total of 93-94 in it. I screwed a few derivations. This can be attributed to my only 2 days studies lol :XD

Ok hotshot, we concur!

I got more than 10 marks wrong lol

@peepingtom: I ain’t no hotshot, mate. I suck.
Can you PM me the predictions you made regarding my colleges?

@BetterThanBest
Frankly, bud, I don’t think we should get into predictions when the results would be out just in a few days, I’d really advise you to concentrate on something else. You know what I think about your chances, I made a post, remember? I’d say just sit this through, you’ll know soon enough. anyways, what’s your dream school (the one you’ve been dreaming about these days)?

I screwed it up too, didn’t study sincerely at all. 15 marks wrong. I am getting wait listed by all the US universities I applied to. I seem to be sliding down. Back to preparing for Maths board…sigh.

@dreamyindian
I heard that the Math paper was tough last year? Which unis did you apply to?

CBSE papers are always easy but require a lot of practice. I wont tell the university names though.

@dreamyindian we both are on the same boat, be it physics or university

physics exam was hard… i had solved previous year questions and crammed all the stupid derivations… i was expecting a quite high score but now i wish i get 60/70 :|
