About Ivy League Potential

Since 2011, Ivy League Potential has been providing world-class college admissions counseling for high school students throughout the world to help them get into America’s best universities. Founded by a former Harvard admissions interviewer, we have a 90% success rate and 100+ years of team experience. We are also proud pioneers of a number of unique and innovative programs:

ď‚· Our research program allows students to work with top university professors and researchers from Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and other top colleges to complete their own research project within 8-weeks.

Many students publish their work and enter competitions as a result of the program.

ď‚· Our leadership academy helps students start a club, nonprofit or community service initiative while studying the lives of Nobel Peace Prize winners.

ď‚· With the advent of AI in our world, 21 st century skills such as creativity will be highly valuable in the future. Our creativity incubator is a program where students and parents work together as a family to create an environment that encourages creativity, thinking outside the box, and emotional intelligence.

Our motto is “college admissions from the inside out." Grounded in positive psychology, students learn to reframe the otherwise stressful college admissions process so that it’s a meaningful journey. They also learn to proactively design their life so that it’s balanced, focused, and open to creative ideas. With well-being as a core guiding principle, success is not achieved at the cost of good health.

“As a parent, if you are EVER going to invest in anything, THIS IS IT. Your
child’s future!” - Proud Father of a Stanford University Student

@CCBootcamp_Aug2024, have any general questions about the upcoming admissions cycle? Want to understand how the admissions process works? Make sure to ask them below.

Ivy League Potential provides world class guidance, real skills and coaching to help you through the college admissions process and get into the college of your dreams.

We’ve helped students get into all the top universities in the country. Harvard, Stanford, Brown, Cornell, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Penn, MIT, Dartmouth, and UC Berkeley are just a few of the top colleges we’ve helped students get into.

I’m a former Harvard admissions interviewer and in our team, we have more than 100 years of experience with test prep and college admissions.

With the advent of artificial intelligence into our lives more and more, if you can do something that a robot can do, then you will not stand out from the crowd as a top candidate for a job. And it’s the same for universities. Both corporations and universities are thinking about what kind of investments they’re making for the future. They are looking for people who demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence, because that’s what’s going to set you apart from a robot in the future.

In the United States, most colleges conduct holistic evaluations, but they may spend only 15 minutes reading your application, trying to figure out who you are. And in those 15 minutes, colleges will be looking at a number of factors in your application, with the number one factor being grades and the test scores. After that, they will look for creativity, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, leadership and academic curiosity. This is demonstrated through extracurricular activities and passion projects, and this is the key to what will set you apart from other students in the college admissions process.

We hope you enjoy these slides and look forward to chatting with you in this AMA!

@ammi76, no. This is a written Q&A.

Does admission usually set a bar with the grades and test scores before seeing other parts of the applications?

Admissions officers at top colleges may only look at your application for 15 minutes, so you have to stand out from the crowd very quickly.
