@CCadmin_Sorin any updates as to when this issue will be resolved?
Like others, I’m using an iPad IOS 13.5.1 and still am unable to get the board to load.

Same problem. iOS 13.5.1 on a new iPad using safari. I’ve tried both Cox and T-Mobile Home internet and the problem persists with both providers. Every page stalls and takes over a minute to load. It’s only CC, all my other browsing is working fine.
Guys, what pages are you trying to access when this happens? Can you please explain your route on the site? The tech team is still working on replicating the issue and would need this info. Thanks!
For me it happens on every page except for the Forum Index page. The forum index page pops right up. Every other page gets stuck. It doesn’t matter what route I take. I am not a computer person, but what it seems like to me is that the page is trying to load something that just will not load, but also isn’t necessary, because when I hit the X the page just pops up. Viewing any page on my ipad now requires two steps - select the page I want, wait until the bar loading across the stop stalls, and then hit the X.
Exactly what @me29034 said.
For example if I click on “latest posts” the page will start to load but it stalls and then when I hit the X it will instantly loads.
@CCadmin_Sorin
If any of the tech team has Verizon I’d suggest they try using the CC website and they may be able to reproduce the issue. I find it only happens with my Verizon WiFi. But that may not be true for other members.
@CCadmin_Sorin I mainly go to Parents Forum and Parents Cafe. I use a bookmark to get to Parents Forum. As the page starts loading, the loading bar up in the address menu slows about 1/3 of the way across. Like others, if I click on the X in the menu bar on the right, then the page instantly finishes loading.
I just tried manually accessing CC by typing in the web address. It brought me to the main site, and though the main page instantly appeared, the loading bar was only 1/3 across. I then clicked on “go to the forums” and it immediately brings up the Forums index, but when I try to access a forum, it freezes up again. The only way to access a new page is to wait until the X appears in the address bar and click on it.
It only seems to be a problem in Safari. I tried Chrome and it doesn’t seem to be an issue with Chrome. Edited to add…I take that back, it is a problem with Chrome also.
My i phone takes forever to load a page but my android is fine. Very frustrating.
Mmm…seems like a safari issue. ?
It’s every forum page I visit, as far as I can tell. It does work to hit the X once the page loading freezes so thanks to whoever mentioned that.
I’m trying to reproduce this problem. The first thing to mention is that our forums load very slowly in the best of situations. If you are curious, you can look at page load speeds using Google’s [PageSpeed tool](https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftalk.collegeconfidential.com%2Fdiscussions). While there are things our site does to make the problem a bit worse (namely advertisements), the biggest issue is our hosting company. The [Forum Index is much faster](https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftalk.categories.collegeconfidential.com) because we host that page ourselves.
Second, I have Verizon for my cell phone carrier and I don’t notice the sort of issues y’all are describing. I have an iPhone and I’ve tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I’ve also tried being logged in and logged out. The page is slow, but not cripplingly slow. I don’t need to use the X trick to get it to load. I’ve also tried using my WiFi, which is via Spectrum, but I still can’t reproduce the issue.
That doesn’t mean there is no issue, of course, it just makes diagnosing it that much harder. Since we don’t host the pages ourselves, we don’t have access to logs that might make discovering the problem easier. Clearly some resource is slow to load, but it’s difficult to know what it is. I know that’s incredibly unhelpful. ![]()
I know some of you have already done this, but it can help to [clear cached data](How To Clear Cache On iPhone & iPad | Macworld). (But please don’t spend money on a cleaner app!) Let us know if that helps at all.
I’m looking around for ways we can diagnose the problem, but it’s very hard when we can’t reproduce. I’ll ask around to see if anyone is using Verizon for their WiFi.
I have an iphone 11 and I have the same slowness problem as on my ipad. Verizon is provider. My screen goes dark before a page loads in some cases. (I don’t know what time limit that is, but I’m pretty sure it’s at least a minute).
We have Verizon , but we don’t have the highest speed options, if that helps.
This just started maybe 2 weeks ago (I don’t know when exactly, but it used to be MUCH faster).
I could have written this word for word. Glad to see it is not just me
My pages are not just loading slowly, but attempting to load indefinitely unless I hit the x. Occasionally, parts of forum pages go blank,; all but a couple of posts will disappear Have high speed Verizon at home, it happens on Safari and Chrome. Have iphone XR and ipad that is a year old. This is a big change, not just a chronically slow website experience; never had the issue until early this month.
Still happening on iphone and ipad–haven’t been able to log into parent forum or parent cafe for a couple of weeks now. Doesn’t seem to load on any of the forum topics.
iPhone X on iOS 13.5.1
Rarely loads any page without hitting the X as mentioned above. It’s been like that for at least a week at this point.
Hmmmm . . . I have noticed that my iPad is running okay again. Very inconsistent
OP here -
I just tried, and it’s moving at it’s “normal” speed through a couple of pages.
Yippee!
Mine is now back to normal as well. Yay!
Fixed here- thanks!
