I may have gotten more done at work. A governing authority just happened to send us an email saying that we needed to re-certify in something that requires watching almost 60 little videos (5-15 min each) and taking a bunch of quizzes. Joy. But I got a good start on them at least.
I may have checked a dozen times to see if/when it came back up!
I’m having work done in my bedroom (finally taking down wallpaper I’ve hated since we moved in a very long time ago) so I used the day to clear out the room before the contractor came today. It was good timing for me LOL.
Checked regularly, went to the dentist for a cleaning, watched the torrential rains do nothing worse than fill our pool close to the rim. Glad husband cleaned the gutters in the fall!
No offense to reddit, but reddit is soooo bad. Very occasionally, I will post something when I want the opinion of young people about very specific things. Otherwise, I stay away.
I kept myself busy working, choosing paint colors and reading my book.
I did laundry and cleaned the casita after our son and DIL left which left me very sad but, later, got engrossed in a book and enjoyed the smell of rain-soaked desert creosote while sipping coffee on a dreary day. I also crocheted a bit and grocery shopped for a week’s worth of back-to-pre-holiday-eating meals.
I wanted to add that it was sad to miss a day of posting Connections and Wordle results.
Also on Sunday night, I was going to post a glowing report of a streaming show I discovered. Then I watched more episodes and was disappointed in the direction it took. So it’s just as well my recommendation never made it on.
I asked my daughter to come over and go through Dorm and Childhood Mountain in our bonus room and Dorm Hill in our basement. We told her that whatever she wants to keep must go in a storage unit that she rents. She has until the end of March to find a unit, and her dad will help her move the stuff since we have a trailer. It was fun looking at all her childhood toys and school mementos. She said it was actually a relief to get this done because she’d been dreading it.
Then DH and I found more trash and junk to throw in the trailer. We’ve parked it in the garage so we can just fill it up as we have time, then take it to the dump. Yay for us!
