Cedarville University in Ohio

My daughter is in her junior year at Cedarville in the nursing program. I felt no hesitation about sending her there. The President of the school made you feel like he would watch over your child as if they were his own. She felt very comfortable there and immediately made wonderful friends. We live a good distance from Cedarville but she has always been welcome at someone’s house for holidays and breaks and only comes home at Christmas and a couple of weeks in the summer. We jokingly say that it is located in the middle of a corn field, but she has found plenty to do there. She is athletic though she didn’t want to do athletics in college. She did join an Ultimate Frisbee team, powder puff and easily could find some sport to play every week. She originally was not sure what major she wanted. She liked math and science and was considering engineering, math, pre-pharmacy but ended up in nursing. The fact that they had many majors from which to choose was a big draw. If you have any questions on Cedarville, I will try to answer them for you. We really like this school.

Thanks for offering. Our daughter is looking for nursing at a Christian college. Is the nursing program guaranteed if admitted to Cedarville with a certain GPA and it is maintained? Or is nursing competitive after completing pre-nursing courses?

Yes. Once you are admitted to the nursing program as long as you maintain your 3.0 GPA in your required classes all you have to do is submit the paperwork.

Do you know the difficulty of the academic classes are? Are they extremely hard, or relatively easy?

I think it’s really hard not easy

My daughter has found the classes challenging but has been able to remain on the dean’s list.

My niece is a junior at Cedarville in the nursing program. She LOVES it! She was also on the softball team her freshman and sophomore years.
