Pretty good essays I think.
PLEASE chance. thank you

I found the capped gpa to be 4, and the fully weighted to be 4.16. unfortunately uc doesnt count honors for oos students

I think Berkely is a low reach and ucla is a match

Thank you for the incredibly thorough post. Wow. So what exactly is OOS? I feel silly askin but I really don’t know.

All UCs besides these two: match or low match
UC Berkeley and UCLA: mid/ high match

Good luck  I know lots of people who have gotten in with far less impressive apps.

Out of state

You are pretty competitive for sure, compared to others. I would really say to get a solid chance at UC Berkley or UCLA, you really need to do ED, have excellent recs and essays, and then you really will have a good chance. Good Luck

What country was the first to give suffrage to women? In 1893, New Zealand was the first country to allow women the right to vote.

i believed i chanced u

What major are you in? But overall, low reach for Berkeley moderate match to UCLA (Because I heard that UCLA only accepts 4.0s these days. Is that true? Otherwise high match).

Chance me too : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1737490-chance-me-to-cornell-cals-aem-fall-external-transfer-rd-and-ucb-haas-will-chance-back.html?new=1

@Natnat28‌ physics. do you think my ecs are good? i heard cal likes good ecs

Your standardized tests are solid, well done, GPA is very good too. Get good letters of recommendation, if you can find an alumni you are close to I would get a letter of recommendation from him/her as well

Yes Cal do like good ECs, but I’m not really seeing that here. Nothing on your ECs actually relates to Physics and that really becomes my worry. You have a lot of ECs. you really have done a lot, but, out of that, nothing makes me think that you’re interested in Physics. I’m sorry if it comes out as a bit harsh. But if you’ve written stellar essays, then Berkeley is in your reach! Good luck!

@Natnat28‌ the research director might. i had to design experiments in order to gauge heat flow in various materials. washu mini med was science related as well

@Natnat28‌ In my humble opinion, i feel that my achievements in indian music make me unique and so do my awards and musical achievements as well

yes, that one might, I actually missed that, I thought that was more of business than physics, but now that you put it this way, it is physics related. The awards are okay, I got similar awards for piano lol. But yes, you’re right, that may attract them or it might just come off as “oh, okay”. What you do with those musical abilities however, will make a difference in your overall strengths. There’s nothing bad about it. All I’m saying is that you have ECs but may come off as being not strong enough or not physics enough. I have not read your essays so I am not sure how you are able to portray you and your awards uniquely.

but that’s just my humble opinion though. I know that physics is not Cal’s most competitive major, so I think you have a decent chance.

oh you know what, since you’re a freshmen, things actually works out differently lol. Berkeley is a low reach to a match now. I’m sorry I missed that, you’re not even declaring your major, how silly of me.

Thats alright. By low reach to match do u mean hm/low reach. Do I even have a chance

Solid EC’s and scores, You’d probably get into UCLA, maybe 30% into Berkeley, which is great considering how good it is.

@Devi99 What are you talking about? You are saying Berkeley low reach and UCLA match. Lol, do you realise that the acceptance rates are only like a percent different?
