Cost Constraints / Budget
(High school students: please get a budget from your parents and use the Net Price Calculators on the web sites of colleges of interest.)
- Very low budget. School with least debt possible take priority, unfortunately.
- Due to parent’s income (Above 160k), cannot qualify for FAFSA or Pell Grant but due to the nature of our family supporting international relatives, we do not have much money to spare.
- TAMU estimates 60k per year for OOS
Intended Major(s)
- Nuclear Engineering
- Electrical Engineering

Essays/LORs/Other
(Optionally, guess how strong these are and include any other relevant information or circumstances.)
- Maybe like 7/10? Still have yet to get feedback so take that with a grain of salt. However, I’ve been told I write good personal essays.
Schools
(List of colleges by your initial chance estimate; designate if applying ED/EA/RD; if unsure, leave them unclassified)
- TAMU - EA (dream to get in w/ free ride)
- UF - EA
- FSU - EA
- UCF - RD
- USF - RD
If a scholarship is necessary for affordability, indicate that you are aiming for a scholarship and use the scholarship chance to estimate it into the appropriate group below; also, for colleges that admit by major or division, consider that in chance estimate.
- Assured (100% chance of admission and affordability): FSU, UCF, USF
- Extremely Likely:
- Likely: UF, TAMU (NEED SCHOLARSHIP FOR TAMU)
- Toss-up: UMICHIGAN (NEED SCHOLARSHIP FOR UMICHIGAN)
- Lower Probability: UCBerkely (NEED SCHOLARSHIP FOR BERKELY)
- Low Probability: MIT (NEED SCHOLARSHIP FOR MIT)
P.S. These are the colleges I wish to go to. All the Florida schools will probably be free due to the Bright Futures + Benaquisto scholarship. The real issue is the others, which I need substantial funding to actually attend.
