Chance/Match Me! Business Major Applicant with 33 ACT (hopeful for scholarships!)

I need help finding places that will have some decently strong academics, but could still offer some scholarships
I have 6 AP classes with 4/5s, and another five that I’m taking this year (expecting to pass)
I have many hours in volunteering and I do singing and I’m CAR chapter president. I’m also NEHS president and have a job teaching children and a local arts nonprofit. I’m also in NHS and Rho Kappa.
I’m also applying as a Business administration major.
I’m looking at places like UF and University of Miami. I’d prefer warmer weather if possible, but it isn’t a deal-breaker. I’d like to have some scholarships if possible to make college more affordable. Thanks!

A lot of merit offers are based on gpa (usually unweighted to level the playing field).

SMU and the College of Charleston Honors College.

University of Arizona Honors College.

ASU Honors College.

TCU (Texas Christian University).

If you’re interested in a smaller school, Rollins has a good business program and often has great merit.

Some of these have already been mentioned, but you may want to take a look at:

  • Baylor (TX): About 15k undergrads

  • Florida State: About 33k undergrads

  • Loyola Marymount (CA): About 7300 undergrads

  • San Diego State (CA): About 32k undergrads…not much in the way of scholarships, but the sticker price is much lower than a school like U. of Miami

  • Southern Methodist (TX): About 7100 undergrads

  • Texas Christian: About 11k undergrads

  • U. of Alabama: About 32k undergrads

  • U. of Arkansas: About 26k undergrads

  • U. of South Carolina: About 27k undergrads

  • U. of Tennessee-Knoxville: About About 27k undergrads

Here are some suggestions of schools that offer business majors:
-Chapman University: they give out quite a bit in merit scholarships, the campus is beautiful, and the weather is unbeatable (in SoCal)
-University of Rochester: another school that gives out a lot in scholarships
-Cal Poly SLO: great business program, total out of state tuition plus, room and board, and expenses is $56K

Since you like nice weather, you might look at the UC’s.

@LinleyMacmillan

UC’s run $75K/year for OOS applicants with very little competitive merit scholarships and will not consider the ACT score since they are test blind.

Not good options based on your criteria.
