<p>Bier, it’s a slap in the face to call UVa semi competitive. Many ppl myself included turned down places like Duke and Wharton to be here. If you think it so easy to get into UVa for instate applicants, enjoy Rutgers.</p>

<p>i sent out apps to school with lower standards compared to duke (boston u, colorado boulder, etc.)</p>

<p>yeah i know so many people who gave up schools such as duke, northwestern, umich etc. for UVA, and at the time i couldn’t understand why</p>

that said, the fact that you said you had bad junior year could really hurt you. as previously mentioned, really nail those essays and sell yourself.</p>
