Carolina has changed it’s admissions process for KFBS this year.
A student would still need to be admitted to UNC in general, but if they checked off the special programs box for teh business school, they will be evaluated for an ‘assured start’ offer. Still doing the general requirements for UNC Gen Ed, but with a guaranteed to start in KFBS as a sophomore. It’s new, so no real information on how selective this process will be - though my b-school connections indicate this is a move to counter the concern over potential losses of high stats / high performance candidates to other strong programs which were already offering direct admissions.
