I agree^.
You have to be honest with yourself and know Princeton is not in the cards.
Your score would be within range for Princeton if your school’s average were 810, meaning your score made you a once-in-10years academic wonder.
You are a topnotch student so you’ll be admitted to many schools, but not Princeton and that type of colleges. Apply RD if your parents make you but focus on reaches that are reachable like Rutgers, Case Western, F&M or Lafayette as suggested above.
The priority right now is Rutgers, Rowan, NJIT, and TCNJ + 5 SUNYs (suggestions have been made above as to which ones. Albany, Buffalo, Geneseo, New Paltz and probably Bing would be no brainers IMHO due to their excellent academics and residential environment but not all offer the tuition match or you might prefer going home every weekend from Stony Brook.)
November 1 is in two weeks.
Then as soon as you’re admitted work on the Honors college/programs where those exist (Rowan will invite you to apply because you meet the academic baseline but most will just expect you to take the initiative, kind of as a screening mechanism.)
Thank you for the update on Saturday. It’s very thoughtful of you.
We’re rooting for you - I’m hoping that out of the 9 above you’ll get into 6 or 7 or even more! After that, anything else would be cherry on the cake.
