You’re not cursed. You have a number of excellent universities in your home country with (as I understand) government-supported options for paying for them. This puts you ahead of literally billions of people in the world.

If your desire for a US degree is overwhelming, you can do what many others have done: undergrad in home country, do very well, get a funded grad school placement in the US afterwards.
