Congrats to you. We normally don’t hear about OOS merit at U MIch to the levels that you received (not sure how much but obviously a significant amount) so that’s impressive for you.
I would not worry about the person who won’t hire U MIch grads. There are likely organizations that have bias either for or against all schools. How each will perform on the job is different - I’m sure there’s great U of M performers and not so great - like any school.
But assuming a robust employment environment in the field, UM grads won’t have any issues gaining initial employment as it’s a well respected program with grads sought by many. If employment is down (and it is for many this year), then you’ll still have a great degree from a great school and that’s always a good thing.
