Chance me business major. International student, 1550 SAT

Understood - it’s just if you want to assuredly come to the US is all. If U Melbourne beats (for the student) UF/UGA/UA - then great.

As you know, I try to hit budget first - and I don’t know how the schools will see the student’s need, but if they don’t see the need, he doesn’t have a spot, even with admissions to most or all on the list - is all.,

Update with some schools: I actually got into Rutgers (NB, honors college); UMass Amherst (16k scholarship); Purdue (no scholarships); MSU (12k scholarship) and USF (14k scholarship) with more on the way, so things are definitely working out!

Congrats but which are under $50k? UMass is over $50k with scholarship - not much but over. Rutgers you didn’t note merit.

Mich State wasn’t on the original list. But it too will be over.

Awesome results but only Pursue and USF (assuming So Florida) Will be under. Neither USF nor Michigan State were on the original list. Are there more ?

Well with Purdue and USF, that’s two that should work. Congrats.

Rutgers Honors results were just out, and I got around 10k in scholarships which just made it barely under 50k so all good.

Congrats - don’t forget the international fee they charge ($1K a year). If you choose to attend Rutgers, it’s a fine school.

Good luck.

I thought UMASS was $60,000 before scholarship?

26/27 estimates - maybe raising costs.

So $45,000 after merit, higher than when my kids applied but not significantly (except for my 2014 graduate, $25,000 merit, which I believe was around what Rutgers was at the time, times change).

Update:

Got into IU Kelley with direct admit! Possibly my best choice yet.

Also got into Denison after aids and scholarships totaling to around 35k.

Waitlisted from Rochester, Tulane and rejected from UGA and Case Western.

Waiting for Lehigh, UW Madison and Washington and Lee! Hope this helps.

Congrats on IU. And Denison.

They are very different - very large vs. small (although the Denison campus isn’t small).

Given your $50K budget, I U is unlikely to be affordable.

It’s a fine school - but make sure you don’t strain your family.

Congrats to you - and good luck whatever you choose (or one of the others still waiting on).

Well all of my results are out.

I got into:

  • Rutgers (+honors college)
  • UMass Amherst (16k/year scholarship)
  • IU Kelley (+10k/year scholarship)
  • Purdue
  • UW Madison
  • Denison (57k/year in scholarships and grants)
  • MSU (14k/year scholarship)
  • USF (9k/year scholarship)

Waitlisted from Tulane, Rochester and Villanova!

Commited to IU.
