Chance me for Adelphi Honors College?

Hi all!
I’m a high school junior interested in Adelphi University’s honors program…

GPA unweighted: 3.35
GPA weighted: 3.57
ACT: 31 superscored, 30 without superscoring
EC’s: GSA, Diversity Club, and a ton of outside of school volunteer work, especially with kids with special needs
2 AP’s junior year and plan to take 2 AP’s senior year (Psych, English Lang. & Comp, Environmental and Stat)
Accelerated in math and science (my school doesn’t have honors classes)
My school does not rank, but it’s very well known to be competitive and one of the best in the country

the GPA’s are only based on freshman and sophomore year, junior year hasn’t been accounted for but I am getting straight A’s

I’m interested in their Bachelors of Social Work program.

Also, do you think I could get any scholarship money? I am applying for financial aid as well.

Any input would be appreciated as well as any advice to bump up my resume!

PS - I forgot to mention I am taking a college class in special education at LIU

@sk9999 Your stats are pretty great so I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting scholarship money and into the honors program. I’m not in the honors program so I’m not 100% sure what they’re looking for, but you have straight As, attend one of the best schools in the country, have a good ACT score, have done volunteer work, etc., which is all pretty impressive. In case you don’t know this, you will have to do an interview with the Dean to get into the honors program.

If you have any other questions about Adelphi, let me know!

I was accepted in to the honors college this year and you have very high chances of not only getting good scholarship money but also being accepted in to the program. You have really good grades, SAT, and ECs. The only thing you have to do is interview on campus, which you can apply for during the beginning of your senior year.
Good luck!

Thanks! Although I only have straight A’s this year. Freshman year and 8th grade HS classes were A’'s and B’s, and I have one C and D from sophomore year due to extenuating circumstances…do you think I should explain those?
