$30k will be tough at any unless you have significant need. You need to apply to schools that assuredly will get you to $30k. It likely won’t be any in this list but rather a school like Central Michigan or W Carolina.
In addition till best score, can you talk more about your academics - how many years of science and which. Same with math, social sciences, etc.
Has your family filled out any net price calculators ?
Here’s two - have them fill them out. Do they show under $30k? Hofstra has always been aggressive and AU is becoming more so (enrollment shortfalls).
Would you be considered a citizen of any state? If not, you can remove the public schools I think - well maybe leave on the CCNYs. They won’t make cost - but maybe can get close.
Generally you’ll find less expensive schools in the South, the midwest or heartland (think Dakotas type of places). For example, U of South Dakota is $25K-ish for tuition, room and board full price. Plus travel, etc.
UMASS is over $60K and the regional campuses about 10% less (before merit, of course).
