  • A LEVEL exams : Not applicable, a level exams are not mandatory in my school and most students dont take the official exams. For me, I couldn’t take it bcs the fees were expensive and my family has financial constraints :broken_heart:

How high are your financial constraints? . While many schools - at least some if not all on your list meet need, they are also need aware. So if you need full coverage, you likely have no chance b4 they even take note of your portfolio. If you need half, then you have a chance.

my EFC is around $4200-$4500 (i think my family can only do $4700 MAX)

i heard nyu ad is great for ppl with low efc tho so idk!! might need to do more research but so far ive seen the most nyu ad full rides acceptances

Good luck. There are schools like Dartmouth, MIT, W&L that are need blind. Bowdoin too and a few more. They won’t care about your EFC.

So yes, NYU AD can be very generous but look into that in more detail, as my understanding is that a lot of the generosity goes to Emirati nationals (funding comes via the UAE govt). It’s possible this has changed in the last couple of years if NYUAD is included in the new NYU Promise scheme, I’m not sure about that, The other issue is that the admit rate rivals the ivies - last I heard (couple years ago) it was around 4%.

yeah but the actual acceptance rate is 17-19% from what i’ve heard cuz like they combine it with the nyc and shanghai campus or something idk :sob:

I’m not sure what you mean by that. They publish the acceptance rates separately for the Abu Dhabi campus. I don’t know about Shanghai,but neither NYU NY nor AD are nearthat high. I looked up the latest numbers I could find. The latest admit rate to NYU NY is 8% (this year’s entering class). I think you have to consider this a reach, as does anyone applying to a college with an admit rate that low.
