Great record.

Why U Chicago ? I don’t believe has engineering beyond molecular.

That’s a heady list. Certainly Purdue is possible but which is your safety ?

Congrats on what you accomplished. You are worthy and your test will help where it can - not at UC. You do need one beneath.

Just in case.

Best of lock.

If that is your real name, please consider changing it to something more anonymous. You can find out to do that here: How Do I Change My Username?.

A few questions:
Are the GPAs you posted your UC GPAs? You can use this calculator to calculate/confirm your UC GPAs. Make sure you read the instructions below to make sure that the courses you are weighting are truly weighted by the UCs and CSUs.

I assume you are a junior and will be applying next year. Is that correct?

What is National Merit Scholarship (Gold)?

Congratulations on being a competitive and qualified applicant. I am going to list some statistical information for the UC’s and SLO to help you determine your chances.

Aerospace Admit rates:

Campus Aerospace
UC Berkeley 4.5%
UC Irvine 18.4%
UCLA 3.7%
Cal Poly SLO 12%
UC San Diego Estimated <20% Capped major

2023 Admit rates overall based on the Capped weighted UC GPA and not major specific.

Campus 4.00+ 3.70-3.99 3.30-3.69 3.00-3.29
Berkeley 17% 3% 1% 1%
Davis 64% 25% 6% 2%
Irvine 42% 13% 1% 0%
Los Angeles 14% 1% 0% 0%
Merced 96% 95% 93% 87%
Riverside 92% 84% 55% 14%
San Diego 39% 9% 1% 0%
Santa Barbara 46% 8% 2% 0%
Santa Cruz 85% 65% 38% 12%

Good luck and I would add a couple of Safety schools to the list.

With the exception of Purdue that is probably a match, they’re all reaches.

What are your safety schools? If you only apply to the ones you listed, there’s a good chance that you get locked out. :grimacing:

I agree Chicago seems not at all what you are looking for, and you also seem really lacking in likelies and targets. I’d suggest taking a look at RPI, Colorado (Boulder), Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Florida Tech, Utah State, Wichita State, and Embry-Riddle.

Thanks for clarifying. At the bottom of your post, you should be able to edit it.

Did you do well on your PSAT? Could you be a National Merit Semi Finalist?
