Assuming your pre MB are honors so they get the UF bump (they do), I’d be 85% confident.

If you barbelled with UCF, you’d be very safe for a great school.

But I’d be surprised, but not shocked, if you didn’t get into UF. I’d feel a bit better with a 1450 SAT.

Best of luck. You have a great profile. So I think it will work. Certainly hope so.

Freshman Decision Process - University of Florida that your 4.625 weighted-for-UF GPA and 1400 SAT are within the middle 50% of last years frosh class, but below the 25th percentile of honors students.

Do you have safeties? Other Florida publics with EE include FAMU/FSU, FAU, FIU, FPU, UCF, UNF, USF, UWF.

One factor you have no control over is how many other students from your hs are applying and what their holistic applications look like. UF can’t accept every qualified applicant from a single school so they spread it out a little.

I knew one applicant who was a top student from a Gainesville hs, and she wasn’t accepted because almost the entire graduating class applied. From my kids’ hs near Jax, it seemed the students self divided among UF, FSU, and UCF, plus some to other Florida publics, and most were happy with their acceptances. A lot seemed to really like FL Atlantic. At my nephew’s high school, more applied to USF as he went to a school closer to Tampa.

I know this has been touched on b4 but UF publicly states they limit OOS but not by Florida HS or as they say, there is no quota system.

And because they don’t admit by major - well OP will see but hopefully the school count applying won’t impact.

IMO they do limit by Florida hs. They aren’t going to admit 100 kids from the same school, and they don’t always take the ones they do admit in rank order, so a #10 might not get in while a #22 might.

But some kids do have a preference for one school over another. My nephew was top of his class and he applied to UF and USF, but not to UCF or (never!) FSU. So there is some self selection. A girl from daughter’s class was top 20 and was a one-and-done at FSU (mother, father, brother all FSU, and they were from Gainesville).
