Cornell accepts about 5-10 students from my school each year.

Stats:

GPA- 94 UW
Tests- haven’t taken an ACT yet, will be taking it in fall.
My courseload could possibly be my downfall. Only took 3 APS: Psych (5), Macro (3), Enviro (4), and dropped honors math. Will be taking 3 more APs and a dual enrollment class in the fall.

Extracurriculars:

  1. Student Council Treasurer, 1 year
  2. Principal flautist of youth orchestra, 3 years
  3. Tutor at kumon , 3 years
  4. 300+ volunteering hours at church, 4 years
  5. Varsity lacrosse 2 years
  6. Local community volunteering organization, 6 years
  7. Principal flautist of county and state orchestras since 6th grade
  8. Band secretary, 2 years

I had an internship that showed my interest in the ILR school at Cornell, but it was cancelled. I’m hoping to apply to either ILR or CALS. I also heard that Cornell has to accept a number of students that live in NY each year to their SUNY schools (ILR and CALS are some of them).
