Hi! What are my chances of getting into UVa? While I do not live in Virginia, I was told that I would be considered as an “in-state” applicant since one of my parents is an alumni. Here are my stats:

ACT - 27
SAT - 1800
GPA - 3.75/4.0
Rank - 3/240
I am the most rigorous curriculum my school offers.

ECs
Marching band, volleyball, track, key club, FIRST Robotics, student government, National Honor Society
I started my own handmade jewelry business online last summer when I was 16, and have since received more than 5,900+ sales from more than 28 different countries. I am responsible for every aspect of the business and I individually hand make every piece of jewelry sold.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread :-)

Take advantage of the Admission Liaison Program offered by the Alumni Association for real feedback. Informational meetings are available by phone if you are out of the area.

[Admission Liaison Program | Admission | U.Va. Alumni](http://alumni.virginia.edu/admission/admission-liaison-program/)

Any feedback in this forum will simply compare you to admitted student statistics, which you can see yourself online. The ALP will allow you to have someone review your academic record and school profile and give you real input into putting your best foot forward.

I am unable to go to Virginia for the meetings and information sessions offered by the ALP. Is there any other way?

Per the website: “The legacy information session is also available for viewing via a webinar.* Instructions for access and handouts for the webinar are available from Anne McLernon.”

Individual review can be done by phone. See the tab for “Schedule an Appointment.”

I would work on test scores to improve your chances. It seems like a reach now.
