Applying for Business administration / finance. What are my chances to T30/20 or match me somewhere

Forgot to mention: I hope to get full ride/tuition. which schools you recommend to apply?

near 0% - most of the schools that meet need and are need blind don’t have business. These are:

Amherst - no business admin

Bowdoin - no business admin

Brown - has a business, entrepreneurship track

Dartmouth - no business admin (has a mini program)

Georgetown - has business/finance

Harvard - no business admin

MIT - has business/finance

Notre Dame - has business/finance

Princeton - no business admin

W&L - has business/finance

Yale - no business admin

You will likely not get into any of these - even with a 1500. W&L is your best bet in my mind as it has the Johnson Scholarship, which 10% or so of the admitted class gets each year.

There are other meets needs schools. But note - just because you want a full ride doesn’t mean a school will agree with your need desires - meaning they decide, you don’t decide.

But I don’t think you’ll get into any - sorry to say. There are other schools need aware but meet need for international - Cornell to F&M to more - but if you truly have full need, they are unlikely to be willing to invest in you. They factor your need into their decisions.

So the schools above won’t look at your finances in regards to admission and I imagine W&L is your best bet - but for full ride, I don’t see any happening. If you said, I can spend $25-30K a year, there are solid (but not top) programs that will accept you.

Education has a cost for most every student - and you’ll be in that boat to come to the US most likely.

Good luck.

Thank you for your honest response

A full ride includes tuition, room and board, and sometimes, funding for some expenses.

The universities in the US are facing diminishing funding from government sources, and are being extremely careful about how they divide their pennies for students that are asking for financial aid.
So although your stats are fine, the fees at the universities have increased so much, and their budgets are so limited, that you have to “pay to play”. A number of domestic students are going to community colleges because they can’t afford a full four years at a university.

If you want any kind of funding, you’re gonna have to look outside of the top 100 universities, and even then, there are no guarantees that some of these schools will fund you.

Our US universities have tough standards, and I don’t think that international students understand this. Our schools are very good. Each year, however, international students target the top 20 schools not understanding that we have a lot more universities- over 3000. No, they may not be in the major cities, and their weather may not be great, but the schools are good.

Edited to add: our schools require health insurance. The US has horrible health insurance policies so each student is required to carry their own health insurance. The universities will advise you of this need but some of them won’t fund your health insurance costs. Assume $3k to 5k a year.
