1) What percent chance do you think you have of being admitted?
I just really hope I am one of the lucky 6%.

2) Why do you think that?
Stanford is my top choice, by far.

3) When do you think admissions will be released (date + time)?
Wishful thinking: Tuesday afternoon. (In reality: not soon enough!)

4) What will you do to celebrate if you get in?
I don’t even know. I think if I actually get in I will do something crazy out of sheer happiness.

5) What if you don’t get in?
Meh. I’ll be sad for a moment… then I’ll go to the honors college at my state school (U of Oregon) on an (almost) full scholarship :D

1) What percent chance do you think you have of being admitted?
About 20% perhaps

2) Why do you think that?
I’ve got high SAT’s, done some good stuff, and not applying for FinAid. I also thought that the essays I wrote for Stanford were by far my best.

3) When do you think admissions will be released (date + time)?
2day for sure.

4) What will you do to celebrate if you get in?
I’ll travel to Bali and spend my next two months backpacking in Southeast Asia…

Alright, I’m doing this regardless, but I’ll probably hang out with friends =)

5) What if you don’t get in?
Bit sad perhaps. Then wait for Ivies on Wednesday, and go to MIT instead =)

30%

Probably there’s about twenty percent of applicants that are good enough for Stanford, and after that it’s random. I’m arrogant enough to assume I’m in that twenty percent.

Friday, 1 pm. Like it says on the admissions site.

Do a little jig.

Tell my mother that spring break college visits just got a lot easier.

1) What percent chance do you think you have of being admitted?
2%

2) Why do you think that?
poor SAT’s, no international awards or anything

3) When do you think admissions will be released (date + time)?
tuesday 3 pm

4) What will you do to celebrate if you get in?

3) Who cares

4) I’m kind of expecting to get in so I wouldn’t have too big a reaction.

5) I’m not getting rejected so not planning for this.

^ Wow your so modest!

@buddyD: I like your mindset yo! If you believe that you will be rejected, then you are already defeated.

3) April 1st at 4pm.
4) SCREAM, then go out and buy a red velvet cake.

1.) infinity/infinity (undefined)
2.) um… international at a school where everyone who has ever been accepted to Stanford is legacy. I’m not. But my stats, ECs, recs… are competitive. so yeah…
3.) tomorrow? please!
4.) tell all my friends who didn’t apply then tactfully ask those who did
5.) wait for other decisions

Does applying for FinAid truly put you in favor of admission?

1) What percent chance do you think you have of being admitted?
Maybe 20%?

2) Why do you think that?
I was accepted to Pomona and Wesleyan, waitlisted at Chicago and Swarthmore. I’m a very strong applicant, but probably am not unique enough. My school sends a lot of people to school like (and including) Stanford though. I liked my Stanford essays a lot, too.

3) When do you think admissions will be released (date + time)?
I’m liking the whole Tuesday at 3pm PST…but I’m making myself expect the worst (April 1).

4) What will you do to celebrate if you get in?
Normal stuff: smile a lot, scream, etc.

5) What if you don’t get in?
Eh, I’ll get over it. I don’t expect to and I’m not even sure about Stanford. But I’ll still be sad for sure.

^^you mean does asking for their money make them want to accept you? I would guess not. But maybe they see a poorer background as being character building or something… who knows

@tetsure

Stanford is need-blind. Your ability, or lack thereof, to pay will not affect the decision they make.

@Nerdlings That is me exactly.
