Jersey,
Your rank is very good, don’t down play that. Your SAT’s are solid. So, yes, you are in the ball park, but as I’ve said to others: every high school in every town/city/state around this country and the world has it’s star students. You need to stand out in an impeccable way with your EC’s and essays. Your OOS status will be strongly against you.
It’s nice that you have the sports stuff that you do, but what really makes you jump out to the Adcom at UVA that’s different from other students? What makes you ROCK?
Right now, with the info you’ve given me>> if I had to bet $100 on your chance of admission, I’d bet -No.
Sorry.
Lastly, thanks for your comments about my admission input advice and such. However, just to let you know, I stay in touch with some of the folks on this site. Some get in, some don’t. But, I’m often wrong, often right. And, I’m not a “King”>> I’m just a Girl in Pearls.
