And do test scores (ACT/SAT) matter? Thank you for reading this!!!

I think you should apply and get the career you want no matter what.

/\ YThat was useful. Your resume looks very slim. As a coca cola scholar, I know that all the other students, including me, had a ton of activities and community service. Your transcript doesn’t really matter at all, nor does your ACT/SAT score. But still go ahead and try, you never know!

Thank you so much! Do you mean other ECs related to community service? I have other ones that are in different areas(sports, etc)

The scholarship is almost entirely based on those that go above and beyond in community service. If you go through the online application, its really 5 pages of blank boxes for what you volunteered/ECs you joined. Absolutely no transcript or SAT boxes.

I did notice on the website, one scholar with 200 community service hours, others had much more, for what that is worth. You should apply.

Okay thank you both for the information!!!

Hey guys! I’m going to be a senior next yr and I’m going to be applying to the Coca Cola Scholars. How bad would 3 c’s on my transcript affect it? My gpa is a 3.55 though

Still apply. Don’t let your C’s keep you from applying to scholarships or certain colleges. Everyone has the same opportunity for a scholarship. Do not assume that your chances are out because of the C’s. We are all human, and it is completely normal to struggle and try hard and still obtain a bad grade. I know I have had that experience. Your GPA is fine, which shows that you were just struggling in a certain class which is completely normal. These scholarships value more of your extracurricular involvement than your academic grades.
