Do you need financial aid?

Not at the moment…

3.77 equivalent GPA as well…

I would have to say your academics are a bit weak. like your A-LEVEL and SAT

I think your no financial aid requirement will put you into some advantage  I suggest that you’ll be great for the best public schools like UMich-Ann Arbor, UW-Madison, UCLA, UT-Austin, etc…and yes…try to bump scores up…

Feel free to ask any question you have…Best of Luck!!!

Was also director and leader of a school project campaigning for global warming awareness, our team came 2nd out of 22. Have also had work experience at Barclays bank for a month, and have also worked as a builder for a month. If I get decent SATs, will that compromise much for my poor A-Levels?

I guess you may work on the recommendation letters. …

The recommendations are very strong, my essay is pretty decent as well. If I get around the 700 area in my SATs how much will it increase my chances?

get off of this site, never come back. do ur essay and make it good. stop obsessing. all u can do is what u already have, so just roll with it from here.

I’ve already got into BC, deferred my place for a year, and just want to go to a better school. Am at work, and had nothing to do yesterday, hence posted the post and decided to get some perspective. mdj324, have you got some complex? Am I bothering you or something?

Thanks you Omega007, btw, was just wondering though, isn’t it very quite rare and more difficult for the best public schools to accept International students, or is this not true? I have UCLA and UVirginia in my potential college list )). Thanks once again for your advice.

No…as you don’t need financial aid, top notch public schools will be the best for you. It isn’t very tough for internationals to get in; its about the same level as American applicants. And there are many internationals studying at these great schools. For example, the Collegeboard ISHB tells that out of the 25,928 undergraduates studying at UCLA, 1075 are internationals! In fact, thats a lot of internationals at one university!

thanks so much omega007, just put Ann Arbor, Michigan, UCLA and Chapel Hill to my choices. ))
