Chances for direct admission into UW-Madison’s School of Business!

Hi! I’m currently a high school senior who’s applied to UW-Madison (as an in-state applicant). Early decisions come out by Saturday, but I was just wondering if anyone would have any input as to whether they think I’d get direct admit into their school of business (as opposed to pre-business) for accounting.

I have a 4.0 (unweighted) and 4.48 (weighted) GPA. My class rank is 10/382 (so I’m top 5% and guaranteed admission, but not guaranteed admission to the business school specifically). Some classes I’ve taken that are weighted include AP Precalc, AP Psych, AP Calc BC, IB English (2 year course), IB Spanish (2 year course), College Accounting, and AP Stats. I also have had an accounting internship for the past 9 months which I put on my application. I’m secretary for DECA and treasurer for student council, as well as active members in those clubs. I’m also an active member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and went to state last year for that. I’m in various honor societies and a math tutor (5+ students regularly). I also played volleyball for three years but quit this year.

I know it will probably come down to the essay, but if you have any insight as to whether you think I’ll get direct admission to the business school, please respond! I’ll update this thread once I know by Saturday.
