Chances for good GPA but no SAT

Hi everybody, I am studying my senior year in the US and i would like to go to college here. In Spain I got like 9.8 out of 10 and also did IB. The problem is that here I wont have time to take SAT on time to send with applications. For now, my Gpa here is 3.9, and I am not taking AP courses. Is UPenn too much for me? thats my main goal, but i am pretty sure i cant get to it. What do u think? What college would be most suitable for me? Also, if i go back to spain for uni and get there a extremely good GPA, would i be able to get into Wharton?

carlos25, u MUST take the SAT or UPENN won’t even consider you for admission. It is their requirement. Here is a link that tells about UPENN’s testing requirements:

http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/testing.php

You may still test as a standby in November and rush the scores to UPenn if you want to apply ED; you wouldn’t even need to rush them for RD. So it’s not too late.
The problem with GPAs is that they are not comparable. There are schools where 10% of students have a 4.0 average, and at other schools these GPAs are virtually non-existant (didn’t happen for 17 years in a row at my school).
