Chances Please

I am an african american male, who lives out of state in Georgia. I have a 3.9 GPA, 1 AP Class, and I want to do ROTC. I did Navy JROTC in high school, and I was an officer. My SAT was 2010, and I applied Regular Decision. What are my chances please?

I think it is a slight reach just because you’re out of state. Also, if you would have taken more AP classes, it would have helped your chances. UVA looks very favorably on students that have a rigorous course load.

you’re in. uva’s black population is dropping, so i’m sure they’ll lower there standards even more to encourage more blacks to apply/come.

also theres some statistic from like 2002 - if i ever get around to looking for it i will - blacks with gpa’s over 3.7 or 3.8 and 1300+ on there SATs have like a 90% admit rate.
