<p>Just took GRE, and it won’t wow anybody. 530 V, 650 Q. GPA is 3.7, 4.0 in my major. Will have solid recommendations. Applying for IR at:</p>

<p>I don’t know about IR, but speaking from the biology department, Old Dominion cares more about letters of recommendations and most importantly an advisor willing to accept you into their lab. I had GRE scores a bit lower than yours and 3.5 GPA, but I have extremely strong LOR and extracurricular activities.</p>
<p>Old Dominion is actually the one I’m banking on. It doesn’t necessary have the prestige but I’m also bringing along a wife that needs to find a job, and we like the Hampton Roads.</p>
<p>Hampton Roads is great. The weather is absolutely wonderful (esp. moving here from Michigan)!! If you attend here and want advice on neighbors to avoid when apartment/house hunting send me a message. Good luck with your application process.</p>
<p>Thanks! Hopefully I’ll remember that and hit you up here in a few months. I’m applying for next spring but may even defer until the fall, I’m not really in a rush. We figured there are enough cities around we could definitely find somewhere. I have no problem commuting, and Virginia Beach is quite tempting.</p>
