@Esmom06, I just created one and moved your post here.

Thanks a bunch!

Not sure if there’s a thread started. My son just received his acceptance to Chapman!

My son also got accepted for English, merit scholarship of $30k per year. Two of his friends received the same.

Hi! Just curious if anyone has thoughts about the housing letter that came out today stating that all members of entering 2024 cohort will have to live on campus for 3 years?

I saw that! I think generally that it might help kids, as housing in OC in general is pricey. Having an opportunity to be housed in an apartment sponsored by Chapman is probably a good one.

$30K - Congrats to your son. That’s phenomenal. May I ask what your son’s GPA/stats are?
And what majors his friends are pursuing? Would like to better understand correlation between GPA/major/scholarship.

Thanks so much! His stats are 3.91 UW, 4.41W, lots of individualized activities like coaching basketball (as well as playing), creative and journalism writing for multiple outlets, tutoring, creating and running a finance club, summer internships. English major is what he applied for. His friends applied in history and business I believe. Similar stats. I believe most high stats kids are offered this form of merit.

Such a quiet thread. Anyone else out there anxiously awaiting Dodge film/tv production results?

Do you know when the results will come out?

All materials say mid-February. Last year appears to have been 2/1, and the year before 1/28. Getting nervous!

Thanks for the information! 2/1 2023 and 1/28 2022 are both Fridays. So expect it to be out Feb 2 this Friday. Getting nervous as well!

Has anyone heard how accurate the net price calculator is for Chapman? It looks like they are also working in their own FAFSA calculator using SAI. Still waiting on an admission decision, but the net price calculator gave us a large need-based aid award in addition to a projected scholarship & we are hoping that will be accurate.

Hi, I’m not the original commenter, but I received the same $30k a year merit scholarship so I thought I’d share my stats to help out! 3.98 unweighted, 4.1 weighted, 5 APs and scored a 5 on all 3 of the AP tests I’ve taken so far (I’m taking the other 2 tests this May), student government, Varsity sports team, NHS, and several unpaid internships at local businesses. I was accepted into Dodge for PR & Advertising. Hope this helps

Hi, I believe the original estimate I received was around $28,000-30,000 a year (I don’t really remember what it was specifically). This proved to be pretty accurate as the merit scholarship I received is $30k a year exactly. I don’t know how accurate it is for others, but this was how it worked out for me personally!
