Cheating in SAT

"2)How you hurt the people of your country by cheating.
Yes, you are a reflection of your countrymen, and people will paint a broad stroke and think “Egyptians are cheaters”. "

^I disagree… That means nothing but that he is the cheat no one else, it doesn’t generalize it in any way possible… But, he again, is proud to say that an Egyptian would have helped him cheat! HOw pathetic?! He’d rather ruin the rep of his country than man up! NOt that anyone is buying all his ****

I really wish you’d learn from all this and stop pointing fingers when you know it was no one’s fault but yours,“heaven”… I repeat one day, you may become better than all of us preaching over here… But never will you be anything but a… well… if u don’t lose the attitude bro… It’s d*** offensive!

And yeah
“I sincerely hope you learn from this that one’s integrity and character is vital for living a life filled with happiness and success.” nicely said… correction= integrity is necessary for a life, full stop. happy or not, without it, I can’t see how u may survive… Hope u learned ur lesson by now… I don’t believe we went “harsh on you” cuz I would have tried to help if u hadn’t had that stupid arrogant attitude, but were rather remorseful for what you have done… Cuz we all make mistakes… Realizing we have, without blaming others, is the first step to gaining “integrity” back…
Adios… Mr. “Heaven”

“Lost humans who feel” Did you have any sense of compassion when you were cheating? I agree with every angry, shocked, or abhorred sentiment upon this page. I hate cheaters. Earn your scores! You don’t deserve a prestigious university if you get to it by cheating. How dare you ask for sympathy?! You deserve non whatsoever. I hope you learn from this. Idiots like you are only making a bad name for Middle Easterners trying to break into American university systems.

Also, stop hiding behind your cheater friends. Own up to your ****, bro.

Ehm 2200andbeyondXD, I think you should ****. He never said the Egyptian would help him cheat, he just said the Egyptian would make him cancel his scores and probably send him out of the hall. He can also learn a lesson from that as well, “In order not to get my scores canceled again and embarrassed, I wouldn’t cheat.” I think you guys are being a little harsh on him. Yes he cheated, I hate perpetual cheats but this was his first. He’s learnt his lesson, he won’t try it again, C’est fini. He came to CC to see if people would rebuke his deed, correct him and advice him. But 90% of what is here is just rebuke.

C’est ne pas fini mon ami! And saying that an Egyptian is corrupt and would go easy while the other “bad” guy did the right thing is wrong! And you thinking it not so is ***** now let me tell you, I clearly said that if he had a different attitude, maybe he would have some 25% of the other stuff. But he is clearly blaming the proctor for doing the right thing… And yeh… “Omg! All my friends did so too!” (this isn’t literal quoting) isn’t exactly remorseful… When ppl like you intervene and tell him “it’s alright , be a **** and blame it on the proctor for taking it too far”, then you are just as bad.
Now listen Mr. heaven, YOU ARE WRONG! and what the proctor did was right, anything less would have been unjust cuz u deserve nothing less than that, in college u woulda have gone through worse ****. Like getting banned from attending the college for years in some cases (in some countries) The other proctor would go easy not cuz he’s from wherever… but rather cuz he’s as corrupt as u are…
Cuz everyone knows that “In order not to get my scores canceled again and embarrassed, I wouldn’t cheat.”(you gotta be kidding right???) only exists in lala land and not in the minds of rude cheats… sorry amigo  So he might as well be helping you cheat…
And u copying your friends like a …well we all know who does that… is not right either
You know that, stop blaming others, then we can talk about ur self respect.
Je m’excuse… I don’t do sugar coating…

My advice would be switch to the ACT and don’t cheat again!

I think this 2200andbeyondXD guy oveinfers a lot, what did you get in your CR in SAT? Did I ever say what the american proctor did was wrong? He was right but what I’m trying to say is that you can’t label the egyptian proctor as corrupt just because of that. Trust me, You don’t even know what corrupt is. I’ve seen proctors (though not SAT) see students cheat and not do anything about it. And you are here talking bout corrupt. Dude puhlease, go drink a capri-sonne or something.

I think this thread has reached a point where “heavens” (I laugh at the irony) is no longer really paying attention because everyone is criticizing him, although he completely deserves it. But the bottom line is- you were wrong, and you need to cooperate with the investigator and own up to your mistakes. Learn from this experience, and if worst comes to worst then take a year or so off before applying to schools, so you can take time to reflect on yourself and how you can’t always follow other people. I am in no way approving “heavens” actions but what is done is done, and we can only hope that he does not do this again

2200 is not overreacting, he is angry, and rightly so. What heaven did was wrong, and he does make comments to drag his whole country down with him. Only American proctors would report you - well, even if that’s the case, they are doing their job. By suggesting that any Egyptian proctor would have simply instructed you to cancel the score, he is suggesting the Egyptian proctors care more about how their country looks, and don’t follow the rules. He’s also trying to justify his cheating because everybody else does it. But he doesn’t really know that, unless his friends bragged to him about cheating (and if they did, perhaps she should have reported it, rather than cheating himself).

He states he doesn’t want to involve the person who sent the text - but ignores the fact that this person already involved himself when he sent that text. On the one hand he laments that everyone else cheats, but doesn’t want to do what is necessary to get it to stop - instead he would rather cheat too. The sad part is that if his country does in fact require SAT II tests to enter University, and realies heavily on those scores, and if cheating is in fact rampant among his countrymen, as he suggests, then the University is filled with all the wrong people. He laments the greed of everyone else, but he himself was greedy.

Heavens 1995 knows what he must do - it was reasonable to ask if the email address of the investigator was legitimate, but once that answer was given, he simply should have acted, rather than try to justify his own actions. He says he was satisfied with his scores - either he was satisfies with his previous scores, and shouldn’t have even taken the exam, or he is satisfied with this set of scores, and the College Board didn’t do anything about his cheating, because they don’t release your scores if they think your infraction is bad enough to possibly cancel them.

I am as angry with him as some of the other posters, I just didn’t go off on him, because it’s not worth my energy. There are enough other things in this world more worthy of my anger.

I know what your talking about lelyke person, and that’s why am f’n ******. I see those cheating situations a lot. That doesn’t mean that wat the heaven (change the name dude… seriously -_-) claims that the Egyptian would have done is any less corrupt… Now sod it… I was thinking the same exact thing Jazmine! BUt I am venting… and sooner or later heaven will open his email… if he already haven’t and is cowering… like what he is…
And yeah, CTScoutmom, I see his type a lot and still get angry every time… cuz it is unfair. The only thing I can’t stand… And even if he can’t man up and reply… I’m venting … Let him deal with it… offt…

Email collegeboard.

Students!
Really don’t stress much on this SAT exam; I have a 2000 (with 800 on math and 12 on essay), and I sit in the same class with students whose scores are 1400-1500…Pathetic, ha? That’s what happens when you have no money to pay for college…

I don’t know what will happen to you, but I know one year at my school a kid forgot to tun off his cell phone and it rang during the SAT. The CollegeBoard canceled the scores for everyone in the room. It turned out it was the kid’s mom asking when he would be done or something like that. Anyway, lesson learned is that the CollegeBoard is harsh on cheaters and potential cheaters. Even though they knew he didn’t cheat, they wanted to make a lesson out of it. I can’t even imagine what they’ll do to you to be honest.

Action taken should start here - I propose that we ban heavens1995 from this forum to make an example of him. Such actions should never be condoned anywhere or by anyone.

Take the ACT instead and never, ever cheat. Lesson learned.
