try watching it alone at night in a creepy old building where the window makes noise

i watched the beginning on halloween and i was like this is too gory and left right after the girl killed herself for no apparent reason.
and then i went back to my room to watch 7 sins.is that what it’s called?can’t remember.at least it has brad pitt in it.

hahaha, it’s unrealistic to find such a place. Actually I watched it alone at midnight in the dark basement. but still, it didn’t scare me at all. I heard SAW is much better though. anyone watched it be4?

SAW was strange… extremely extremely strange. it was as if the producer was high on lsd or other sorts of hallucigens… it wasnt like scary AT ALL because u know it would never happen to u.

it was just SO strange.

unrealistic to find such a place?? the ONLY place that isnt like that on the wellesley campus is the new student center that just opened this year. all other builds were built like 100 years ago, even the science center. they had a little addon for labs, and its strange because the original lamp posts were still kept, so now they are inside the building and u’re just randomly walking into lamp posts

I’ve seen SAW 2. It’s pretty lame.

haha saw 2? i heard the first one was pretty creepy

anyways. one more week 'till spring break! i soo can’t wait anymore

our spring break is only 2 days -_-

Hopefully what I am asking is not offensive. If it is, I sincerely apologize.

Someone in my school told me that newborns in China either get a nose job immediately after their births, or, for those who cannot afford it, their parents would use chopsticks to realign their noses so the noses look “western”.

I am just wondering if this is a common pratice in China. Thanks.

not really… at least i have never heard about it.

hahaha…applied, that’s the funniest thing i’ve heard today

never in 18 yrs of my life have i heard anything like that. and really, please tell that ‘someone’ in your school that s/he needs to watch his/her mouth.

The person who told me this came from China in 9th grade. It actually seemed(or still seems) to make sense since the majority of Chinese in my school do have “somewhat western” noses.

applied, are u just jealous about some Chinese dude have somewhat western noses? so you think all Chinese should have flat noses huh?

wow thats either a joke or just stupid

did anyone hear that rich koreans always have plastic surgery?

I am not jealous at all. In fact, I would rather have a flatter nose. The reason I brought this up was I am very interested in the Chinese culture and I was just curious whether this is the modern version of the “feet-binding” practice. I know in the Chinese culture, people pay attention to details to features such as height and facial structure, where 1 extra inch or a crescent eye can often make or break a job interview.

Again, like I said before, I apologize if I offended anyone.

lol…yea that is pretty funny.and i don’t think it’s true either.what kind of parent would be that shallow?seriously.and all babies have rather flat noses i think.it’s great that you’re interested in chinese culture though!
god,i’m listening to seasons of love from rent and singing along with it.actually, belting along with it is a better description.i’m seriously the cheesiest person alive.

details in a person’s looks making and breaking job interviews? this isnt the thread for stupidity

well… the details in a person’s look is somewhat true. say u’re a college student and u need a part time job, if u want to get hired for positions like a hostess in a hotel, they specifically put on the wanted ad u have to be at least 160 sometimes 165cm tall for girls and at least 170cm for guys

airchina, look at the chinese flight attendants: they’re all like models. not only are they tall and skinny but pretty too. and then u switch to united airlines and u get 45-year-old short stumpy people. even if they were young, they’re usually not like models. they could be pretty, but some of them are somewhat chubby (like 10lbs more than “perfect”) or in other words “normal”.

the chopstick thing is absurd tho. i think s/he was just kidding

he’s stupid!
scientific explianation: the nose pattern is a result of the common tempreture in a certain region.
why white man has high nose? that is because their origion was from a cold weather(europe), or low temperature, thus they need a very narrow nose chamber to heat the air effectively. in Africa, the people don’t need to heat the air, so they have very flat noses.
for chinese, the nose pattern differs according to their region, the people who have a northern origion would have higher nose(the so called western nose), and those who have a origion from the relatively warmer areas would occupy a flatter nose pattern.
and the nose pattern revise must not be undertook before the nose was matural,or never change any more. namely after a certain age(i guess about 15 years old),otherwise the job will absolutely fail! or even break the fragile nose organism.

so both his two points are definitely absurd.
a stanford economist anticipated that China’s economy will surpass American after 30 years, and Indu will surpass china twenty year after that.(see the annual economic booming of 8.9% of china, and the recent changing American policy towards china," China will soon be the primary rival of america" said Bush.)
in fact, china is standing up after a falling down, why those chinese guys are preaching that kind of disgraceful argument? are they oppressing our national confidency and dignity?
we are here in america and we are learning here, and some of us maybe stay here and contribute to USA, and some maybe go back to do their jobs, no matter what, we should keep our national reverence, because this determines how we are regarded by other people in America.
i sincerely beg you guys to forbid this kind of suicidal opinion, which will undermine our future!!!
(see how vital the national dignity is, you can see American Pageant,an AP US history book, and this will tell you what happened in the past, as a result of a undermined ethnical dignity, for chinese people.)
thanks for reading.!
i’m taking 10 ap tests this may, hehe!
