Chinese Thread

hmmm i just wanna ask that anybody here took TOEFL…
we were all born in china and our first language’s definitely chinese…
do we have to take TOEFL?
thx~=)

only international students take toefl, and i think just those who dont have high sat reading scores

yea. most of us can get a wavier that excempts us from the toefl. depends on your sat score. i think for my year (2 yrs ago…gosh time flies), you need at least a 550 in the verbal section of the SAT.

o my poor stomach, stuffed to the core…again. i’m SUCH a pig. food seems to be the solution to all my problems, esp stress. so all the freshmen here…beware of the freshmen 15. I think i gained a lot, then lost some, then gained some more. o well whatever. as long as i’m healthy and alive. just don’t forget to exerise and sleep. not having the time isn’t an excuse. sleep and exercise are like an investment and will save you time and money spent on health issues later on.

okay okay. i’m just rambling here. should probably get some sleep. haha yea right

Hi guys!

Just a quick question, which pre-u course better prepares you for US unis. AP, IB or A levels? A lot of my classmates told me that A levels is better compared to AP or IB. What’s your opinion? Thanks.

well i dont know anything about A lvls or IB (i know they are european tho) but when it comes to applications, i assume as long as u do well any of them is fine

i think US admissions ppl are more familiar with APs. no?

yea. agree with Jin. As long as you do well in any of them, you’ll be fine.

Jin is my family name…

fine…

Excuse me. Mr. Jin.

o it seems like everyone’s getting sick again, probably because of weather changes. so drink orange juice and sleep plenty (or try to at least).
