Not meant to be a political discussion but simply a good chuckle at some “mom” dance moves!! This was done in part to kick off another chapter of Michelle’s “Lets Move” initiative to get kids exercising.

i kind of liked it, she can dance … but a part of me also thought, (for both of them) … stay off late night tv… i’d like some substantial interviews… get stuff done that needs doing and be respectful of the office of president . hopefully that doesnt go too political?

that was pretty cute! i’ve got to brush up on my moves for my D’s wedding–she wants it to center on being the best dance party ever! Dont want to look like i’m “mom-dancing.”

(note to self–no out of sync Electric Slide)!

As I said not meaning this to be political discussion, but I agree you have to get a message such as this(Let’s Move) to different audiences and also thought the moms here on CC might appreciate some of the moves!!!

I agree that it was very cute, and I like and admire Michelle Obama. But I can’t help but wonder how her daughters felt about it. I think most teenagers would be mortified if their mother did this.

I’m sure the Obama girls are pretty used to any and all celebrating and bashing of their parents in the media. It was done in fun and meant to be fun.

Celebrities go on camera and do stuff all the time. and many of them have teens. Don’t think it would be any different from any other instance (especially as she handles the moves so well.)

I definitely dance more like Jimmy Fallon than Michele Obama! She has some pretty cool moves. Personally I think it is fun to mortify my teenagers!

I thought it was a cute skit and I was struck once again how “modern” the Obamas are. I love that they are so approachable. They don’t put on airs or take themselves too seriously and have normal-seeming kids.

I guess this wouldn’t have happened if Romney had won the election…isn’t dancing forbidden among Mormons?

I watched on TV. I like Jimmy Fallon, but I disliked the way he kept referring to “Barack.” It’s one thing for Michelle Obama to do that, but very different for Fallon.

Still, overall, I really like Fallon as a host. He does a lot of truly silly things with his guests, but he never is just plain mean.
