How did you guys study for P4 and P5? (Assuming you took after they took down the Options paper (P6) )

Studying for it right now. Well used the book Chemistry in Context for P4 and for P5 there isn’t a specific book, it’s kinda easy once you’ve covered everything. The applications section for Chemistry can be done by downloading the supplement provided by them on their website.

Chemistry in Context and CIE chemistry for P4. (for application i used CIE’s application Booklet)
P5 does not have any specific book but a lot of experiments come from the CIE chemistry book. I used to go through the experiments of that book.

The P4s prior to 07 are all VERY easy. It’s just some of the question in 07/08 are SO random! There was one asking about drawing d-orbitals. No book I have seen from Cambridge covered that.

Chemistry in Context? Really? It looked to me rather basic, or at least not as good (or at least Cambridge oriented) as the actual CIE text book. Regardless, I got it. Any particular section I should read from it that CIE kinda sucked with?

Currently, I’m using that Support Booklet, though it’s filled with errors in a lot of things. Still, I suppose it’s the best I have so far. I’ll take a look through CIE Chemistry book for the experiments .

Thanks again.

Chemistry in Context for the inorganic part. A-Level chemistry by E.N. Ramsden for the organic part. And the support booklet for applications. Cant really say that anything else exists for the applications part of the syllabus.

Chemistry in Context truly sucks in the orgo department.
