For dinner we had Chili’s ($5 Margaritas) fajitas. Not spectacular, but free guac and chips.
But for breakfast we had breakfast burritos! The best from this local chain. We tried their meals but didn’t really like them that much. The breakfast burritos are to die for though.
We didn’t realize it was Cinco de Mayo until we were talking about what to eat. H was going to the supermarket and picked up stuffed jalapenos and Modelo beer.
Our taco and Mexican restaurants were so swamped yesterday they stopped taking orders at 5 pm.
We managed to get fish tacos but sadly no margaritas.
Our crock pot chicken fajitas were great.
Had SD Margaritas with the out neighbors first.
The two places around here that were doing family size meals for Cinco de Mayo stopped taking orders before noon…and from what I understand, they were swamped with orders and everyone I know who got them said they were terrific.
Shrimp tacos in a chipotle marinade. Yummy!
Didn’t even think about it or realize we missed it. Maybe will makeup for it tonight…
D1 reported she got her box of New Mexico chile sauces & salsa yesterday and made red chile calabacita enchiladas for dinner.
Okay, when did the memo go out that EVERYONE eats Mexican on Cinco de Mayo and how did I miss it. Or maybe I am glad I missed it:
They had to call police for crowd control
