<p>i’m a sophmore and placements for the next school year [my junior year] are being made. i did not get recommended for the AP english offered for juniors, but got english III honors. i don’t want to go into english or history, but i would have liked to take AP. would this really hurt my transcript or have a negative affect for college admissions…etc? is there anything i can do about it??</p>
<p>It depends on where you’re thinking of applying. Colleges want the highest courses but they know it’s not always possible. But there should be something you can do about it. Why were you recommended for honors vs. AP?</p>
<p>You could just ask your counselor if you could take AP instead.</p>

<p>If you got an A or B in sophomore english, you should’ve been recommended.</p>
